WATERCOLOR COLLAGE

Working from photos taken onboard a Steamship freighter, Miklos first developed a rough sketch for the collage. He then assembled a 3-dimensional construction built from illustration board that combines watercolor and pasted-on photo images.

The final result is part architectural model, part drawing and part painting. Freighter to Nantucket received the Mixed Media Award for the annual Juried Artist/Patron Exhibition 2017 at the Artists Association of Nantucket Gallery.

AAN recognized Miklos’ work in collage with the annual Mixed Media Award for 2018.
